I was raised here in Montana in the Seeley Lake / Missoula area. I have been adjacent to this industry since I was a kid. As the oldest of Tom and Becky’s daughters, I had a general understanding of how insurance worked before I could multiply two numbers together.

I grew up with a first-hand perspective on how much blood, sweat, and tears go into Summit every day. This isn’t always an easy job. Accidents don’t happen between the convenient hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. They happen on the weekend, when you are at a barbecue with friends, or on a drive home late at night – times when you have to trust that your agent will take care of you. As a kid I thought, “WOW, it’s a lot of work; no way I want to do that”, and it absolutely is a lot of work, but it is also so rewarding.

I have a degree in Microbiology from Montana State University. After graduating, I worked in Quality Control for a nutraceutical company and then switched into Project Management (PM). For three years, I worked on IT improvements at various pharmaceutical companies all over the US. In 2024, I had the opportunity to put my PM skills to use at Summit. Imagine my surprise when, 6 months later, I couldn’t deny it anymore: this was the job for me. And that was all she wrote! I was hooked. Somewhere along the way I drank the Kool-Aid!

When I’m not behind a desk, it’s a pretty good bet you’ll find me in a skating rink. I am a figure skating coach with the Helena Figure Skating Club and have even crossed the unspoken line in every rink – I play hockey too. My husband, Brandon, and I spend most of the year in a rink, but we can’t miss out on the gorgeous Montana summers. We hike, backpack, and go birdwatching at every chance we get.
